Controls:
The building management system is tied to a tenant’s “key card”. This will allow the owner to turn on/ off each unit’s heat, air conditioning, lighting, and bathroom exhaust when the tenant is out, providing "hotel-like" occupancy control. The system also provides the owner with the ability to survey tenants’ consumption to minimize energy-wasting behavior. This is important because most tenants will not pay their own electricity bills.
