The Seba Dalkai School, in the Navajo Nation, is expanding
from a K-8 boarding school into a K-12 facility for day
students and boarders. This outdoor classroom building
integrates PVs into the roof structure, and is being used as the
basis for a curriculum in sustainable energy as well as for
general education. The structure doubles as a stage for oudoor
events.
This is one of the inagural projects of Native American
Photovoltaics (NAPV), a non profit group aiming to bring the
benefits of electricity to the largest group of Americans who
live without it.
